On 3rd March 2010, in collaboration with the East Asia Rice Working Group (EARWG), the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) will organize one-day workshop on "Food Security in Vietnam".
This workshop aims to:
- Share information on current situation on food production and food security in Vietnam;
- Investigate abilities of Vietnam to ensure food security, particularly afther the food crisis in 2008 and in the climate change context; and
- Investigate programmes, policies and evaluations on food security of Vietnamese goverment.
Participants of this workshop will include representatives of related state agencies, researchers, international organizations, local staff and residents where SRD is having activities relating to rice production and food security.
