On 14th July 2010, The Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) officially opened a new office in Thua Thien Hue province.
Thua Thien Hue province lies in the center of Vietnam’s middle area which is one of the poorest area and the most affected are by natural disaster. In recent years, SRD has implemented many projects in this province and had great achievements. To promote community activities quantitatively and qualitatively, SRD is trying to improve and expand projects in other poor areas in the Central of Vietnam. Accordingly, a new office in Hue is an important step toward our goals. Hopefully, in the near future, SRD’s projects will improve the local people’s livelihood as well as contribute to poverty elimination plan of the government.
