Kate Rayson is undertaking a 12 month role as Communications Support Officer. She has come to work at SRD as a volunteer through the Australian Youth Ambassadors for Development (AYAD) program, funded by AusAID. Caritas Australia is the Australian Partner Organization supporting the assignment.

Kate brings to the role broad ranging marketing and communications experience, having worked for more than three years as a consultant for marketing and PR agency communikate et al, and most recently as a consultant in the marketing and strategic communications branch of the University of Adelaide. She also holds a Bachelor of Management (Marketing) and Bachelor of Arts (International Studies) from the University of South Australia.
