In order to reinforce and perpetuate the results achieved in the VPA process, promote and enhance the role of CSOs in monitoring EVFTA implementation related to sustainable timber trade, members are competent and interested. Considering both the VPA / FLEGT and EVFTA agreements of the VNGO-FLEGT network and a number of related CSOs will be selected to form the VNGO-EVFTA network.

      In order for the members of this network to effectively participate in EVFTA, a capacity-building needs assessment should be conducted for the VNGO-FLEGT Network members and related social organizations on monitoring. enforce EVFTA. Through this assessment, the capacity building needs of the organizations in the network will be identified and a strategy will then be taken to improve these capacity gaps for the members of the network. Thereby, supporting the organizations in the network to have sufficient knowledge to monitor the implementation of the EVFTA Agreement as well as effectively contribute to policy dialogue on issues related to Sustainable Timber Trade.
