CLIMATE AND DISASTER RESILIENCE
With the goal of reducing the adverse impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities, SRD has implemented a wide range of projects aimed at strengthening local capacity for climate change adaptation (CCA) and disaster risk reduction (DRR). Key approaches include community-based forest management and community-based disaster risk reduction, both of which empower local stakeholders to lead and sustain climate-resilient initiatives.
Over the past 19 years, SRD has delivered numerous projects focused on climate change adaptation and environmental protection. Our current focus is on integrating innovative agricultural and nature-based solutions (NbS) into the restoration and conservation of mangrove forests. These efforts are closely linked to the promotion of climate-resilient livelihood models, ensuring that environmental sustainability and economic development are aligned.
