SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE & LIVELIHOODS
Sustainable agriculture and livelihood development are our principal thematic focus and are systematically integrated across our projects. SRD implements a range of advanced models, including Climate-Adaptive Agriculture (CAA), Climate-Resilient Agriculture (CRA), Circular Agriculture, and Climate-Adaptive Sustainable Agroforestry Systems.
These models are designed to enhance the adaptive capacity of local vulnerable communities, particularly in rural and upland areas, by promoting climate-smart practices that simultaneously improve agricultural productivity, generate income, and strengthen food security.
SRD adopts a participatory approach to engage local communities in co-developing suitable local livelihood solutions that align with ecological preservation, environmental sustainability, emission reduction, and carbon sequestration. These integrated interventions contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation objectives while supporting the resilience and sustainability of local socio-ecological systems.
