CROSS-CUTTING ISSUES
Gender equality, child protection, and support for people with disabilities (PwDs) are cross-cutting themes in all of our projects.
1. PROMOTING GENDER EQUALITY
SRD integrates gender equality in community intervention programs and projects as well as within our own organization. We aim to work with women, improve the status of women in Vietnam, especially in rural areas where women often have few opportunities to participate and make decisions.
2. SUPPORTING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
SRD implements projects to support PwDs, focusing on building safe and inclusive living environments, forming PwD-led organizations, building their capacity to manage and operate groups, improving their livelihoods, and providing rehabilitation. At the same time, SRD ensures that all support programs are easily accessible to PwDs.
3. CHILD PROTECTION
Child Protection – The prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEAH) and Child Protection Policy (CPP) are developed and updated annually by SRD and are integrated into our operational manual. This policy applies to all staff and local partners when implementing our programs and projects.
