FOREST LAW ENFORCEMENT,

FORESTRY GOVERNANCE AND SMALL PRODUCERS
SRD collaborates with Fern, an international organization specializing in forest policy advocacy, to implement the Forest, Governance, Market, and Climate program. This initiative aims to enhance the capacity of vulnerable, forest-dependent communities and improve forest governance to align with—and benefit from—international sustainability standards.
In the context of evolving international frameworks such as the EU Green Deal, SRD aims to develop the technical and digital capacity of local farmers and smallholders—particularly women and ethnic minority groups—in agroforestry-based value chains such as coffee, timber, and rubber. These efforts promote both forest conservation and the development of sustainable, inclusive, and equitable agricultural value chains.
To further enhance forest governance, SRD initiates the use of digital apps in the community-based forest monitoring mechanism. This innovation not only improves transparency and data accuracy but also fosters stronger collaboration between local communities and forest protection authorities.
