I. General information

The Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) was established and registered as a member organisation of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology (VUSTA) with an operating permit from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) dated March 30th 2006. Inheriting twenty-eight years of experience from the International Cooperation for Development and Solidarity (CIDSE) in Vietnam, SRD is a Vietnamese non-profit non-governmental organisation (NGO) that is dedicated to working with disadvantaged communities, assisting them to improve their quality of life and manage their resources sustainably.

We are aware of the importance of safeguarding and protection issues which are needed for every organization to protect our staff from harm, especially SRD is working with children, the vulnerable groups of people. Particularly in the context of spreading Covid-19 and frequently affected by natural disasters, safeguarding and protection should be in great attention.

In order to provide sufficient information of practical and specific context and conceptual understanding to its staff, SRD will organize a workshop (WS) for sharing, discussing and internalizing safeguarding and protection practices.
