I. General information

We are aware of the importance of safeguarding and protection issues which are needed for every organization to protect our staff from harm, especially SRD is working with children, the vulnerable groups of people. Particularly in the context of spreading Covid-19 and frequently affected by natural disasters, safeguarding and protection should be in great attention.
In order to provide sufficient information of practical and specific context and conceptual understanding to its staff, SRD will organize a workshop (WS) for sharing, discussing and internalizing safeguarding and protection practices. With the support or Caritas Australia, SRD is therefore looking for potential facilitators to help facilitate relevant safeguarding and protection practices through in-house workshop for our entire staff.
2. objectives
- Safeguarding and protection practices are explained, shared and discussed;
- SRD staff are able to understand and comply with;
- Safeguarding and protection practices are mainstreamed into SRD HR manual.
3. time, venue and methods
The workshop (WS) will be held in 2 days expected in April 2022 as follows:
- Conceptual explanation;
- Presentation, questions and answers.
- Introduction of some relevant practices;
- Case studies, questions and answers;
- Agreed points to be applied and mainstreamed into SRD’s manuals.
4. PARTICIPANTS
20 staff of SRD including admin and program officers
- Read the current Human Resource (HR) manual;
- Prepare plan and agenda for facilitating the WS;
- Facilitate WS presentation, group discussion to ensure obtain specified objectives;
- Summarize and wrap up everyday;
- Prepare WS report after completion.
6. REQUIREMENT FOR FACILITATORS
- Expertise in the area of safeguarding and protection;
- Experience and skills in WS facilitation;
- Experience working with NGO and community is preferable.
7. OTHER SUPPORT
- The assigned team of SRD will assist and collaborate with the facilitators before and during the WS;
- Provide required documents for facilitators to prepare document and WS facilitation plan;
- Pay the fee as agreed (wire to the facilitators’ bank account as provided).
