The book “Climate Change Adaptive Livelihood Models: Criteria and Good Practices” is one of the most important products in the cooperation program “Research and evaluation of climate change adaptation models by NGOs’ support in Vietnam during the period 2009-2014” between the Department of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change (DMHCC), Vietnamese NGOs and climate change network (VNGO&CC) and Climate Change Working Group (CCWG). This book is compiled based on the information and data from the reports of the model development unit, and the field trips of experts to gather more information on these models. So far, the first draft of the book has been finished by the compilation group.

After holding the first consultation workshop in August 2015, on December 25th 2015 the DMHCC collaborated with the VNGO&CC network and the CCWG to organize the second consultation workshop on the draft book “Climate Change Adaptive Livelihoods: Criteria and Good Practices”.
Through this workshop, the comments from organizations and individuals would be considered, in order to complete the book. It is expected that the book would be widely shared soon.

DMHCC, VNGO&CC and CCWG expect that the national regulatory agencies and local agricultural production support unit will use this book in the decision-making process to determine whether to deploy or/and replicate the adaptive livelihood models/solutions introduced in this book, as well as existing models which are not mentioned.
