INNOVATION, DYNAMISM, SOLIDARITY FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE SRD IN THE DIGITAL AGE

From April 15th – 16th, 2021, the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) organized a team-building activity in Ba Vi, Hanoi. This is an opportunity for its staff to exchange and to review the strategic plan (SP) 2018-2022 and prepare for SP 2023-2028 period. Additionally, the activity aims to connect the united and dynamic staff on the occasion of the 15th celebration of SRD’s establishment on the theme “Innovation, Dynamism, Solidarity for SRD’s development in the Digital Age”. On that spirit, Mrs. Vu Thi Bich Hop, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Executive Director of the SRD made the opening speech: “Staff is a valuable source of the organization. We have overcome the transition period in 2019 and so far it could be said that our 2018-2022 strategic plan has mostly been reached. This is an opportunity for us to continue our consolidation for the organizational development in a new period.”

Mr. Vu Van Trieu, a member of the Advisory Board (AB) shared: “Taking part in this team-building activity, I could see much new staff. This is an activity to help SRD’s staff understand one another better to be more engaged. On this occasion, with reviewing the SP 2018-2022 and preparation of the SP 2023-2028; I do believe that in the future, SRD will retain the role of one among the leading local NGOs in Vietnam.”

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoa, another member of the BoT and the AB said: “We all enthusiastically and actively exchange our ideas on reviewing the current SP as well as on shaping the next one.”

The Program Officer excitedly said: “As a new member, first time participating in this team-building, I found it relaxing and rewarding. This is a chance for us as staff not only to share and understand one another and our organization in an open and working office-free environment but also to unite and work together in developing our coming strategic plan”.

Ms. Tran Thi Trang, an Administrative Officer confided: “The first time joining team-building really meant a lot to me because I could learn more about SRD's mission towards supporting the community and its value.”

At the end of the second day, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hung, Deputy Director of the SRD emphasized that in the coming period, SRD will continue to maintain and develop its staff, to apply technology in organizational management, to approach new initiatives as well as to strengthen and enhance the voice of SRD in the Digital Age.
