Training courses on Planning skills and Using Zoom for online meetings

"Practical, useful and informative to apply in the club as well as in the family. So far, planning has just been thought in our mind and/or verbal, neither prioritized in order nor timeline nor elaborating. The more I learn, the more I know. I also learn how to use the Zoom application on the phone to join online meeting with the project during this hectic pandemic period." (Mrs. NTL - member of Phong Binh 2 PWDs Club)

"The project's activities have helped people with disabilities (PWDs) gain both knowledge and skills to apply in the club and reality. These training activities make me and the members feel excited, help us gain a better understanding of how to manage and build our club." (Mr. HXM, PWDs Club, Gio Quang Commune)

These are some of participants' sharing of the training on planning skills and using Zoom for online meetings, held from February 17 to 22, 2022 within the project "Empowering People with Disabilities", funded by Caritas Australia and DFAT through the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD). There were 84 key members from 12 groups/PwDs Clubs in 10 communes. The training activities were in sequence from looking back on the low-hanging fruits tree (according to the ABCD approach) in 2018; sharing stories/personal memories asscociated with the club; practicizing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats by SWOT; motivation and the future picture of the club, planning how to draw that future picture.

"This training provides a lot of information and experience that is useful and suitable for everyone, especially the club's Management Board in order to plan for the club activities. This planning skill is also very applicable in our daily life." (A member of Gio My Club)

"Phong Binh Club has been involved in the project recently, so this training course is extremely meaningful and helpful to enable the club members to look inside and to realize their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges so that they can have direction for their future. Moreover, we now know Zoom for online meetings that we have not known before." (A member of Phong Binh 2 Club).

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Zoom application is also shared and used to help the club members know how to join upcoming online meeting which might be limited due to big gathering.
