On 20 May 2015, Ms. Thu Tran, Project Manager, Australian Business Volunteers (ABV),visited SRD to meet with Mrs. Vu Thi Bich Hop, Executive Director of SRD to discuss the current ABV assignment with SRD.
ABV is a leading Australian based Volunteer Agency providing experienced volunteers with business skills and experience to support organizations combat poverty and increase the well-being of local communities. In recent years, ABV has provided volunteers with extensive experience and professional expertise from Australia to support organizational development at SRD.
Mrs. Vu Thi Bich Hop, on behalf of SRD, expressed SRD’s sincere thanks for the valuable support of ABV over past years. The meeting with SRD also helped ABV to gain valuable feedback from partners on the performance of current volunteers at SRD. Ms. Thu Tran said that ABV will continue to connect other volunteers to SRD. Both parties believe further collaboration and partnership between SRD and ABV will result in long term benefits for all stakeholders.
Under the ABV Program, SRD has recently received the support of Mr. Donn Berghofer, an organizational development consultant, to help conduct a mid-term review of SRD’s Strategic Plan (2013 – 2017).
After nearly 2 months of in-depth analysis and review, Donn will make a presentation of the main findings and recommendations of the Review to members of SRD’s Board of Trustees on 2 June 2015. SRD highly appreciates Donn’s current support for its organizational development.
