On July 3rd, 2018, the workshop on "Applying science and technology in agricultural products traceability and development of sustainable agriculture in Vietnam" was hold by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and the Vietnam Committee of Science, Technology and Environment. Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Kim Ngan, Director of SRD shared about Vietnam's agriculture in general, as well as challenges and opportunities for cooperation between the Government - the enterprises and NGOs to promote eco-agricultural production as a strong and persistent civil society organization working on sustainable agriculture in Vietnam. Ms. Ngan affirmed that the cooperation between enterprises - the state - NGOs is an indispensable trend in promoting organic agricultural products when fully utilizing the strengths of each party. With policy support from government agencies; with the effective approach and capacity building of the NGOs, and the ability to invest, connect markets, create raw material areas with strategic planning and market research of businesses; this multi-stakeholder partnership will bring strong strides in the development of organic agriculture in Vietnam.
