From 17 to 24 November, representatives of SRD participated in the Energy and Climate Transition conference and workshop organized by Bread for the World (BftW) at the regional office (VEST) for Vietnam and Laos. At the conference, experts from BftW presented global trends related to climate change and energy transition, challenges and opportunities in Viet Nam and Lao PDR, and the regional climate & energy transition strategy of BftW. BftW partners discussed the organization's expectations and their contribution to the implementation of the regional climate and energy transition strategy and climate change network building. Mrs Vu Thi Bich Hop - SRD Director participated in facilitating group discussion.
On 23 and 24 November, SRD representatives participated in training and discussions on climate change, global and local trends in the energy transition, and Vietnam-Laos regional climate strategy.
The training conference aimed towards BftW's strategic goals for the 2021-2025+ period: Contribute to a sustainable transformation of Vietnam and Lao PDR to become climate-resilient, low-carbon, prosperous economies, and inclusive, just and equitable societies.
