As the second largest coffee-producing country and the world's largest Robusta producer, coffee is the predominant source of income for thousands of people in Vietnam. While coffee plays a sizable role in the Vietnam's economy, it has not come without costs. Within the framework of EU Aid Volunteers Forest Project, SRD and the volunteers conducted research "Sustainable Coffee Development in Vietnam - The Case Study in Thuan Chau District-Son La Province". This study provides a comprehensive picture about coffee production in Thuan Chau district, Son La province and makes practical recommendations for future sustainable coffee development in this province.
