Above are some sharing of students when participating in communication activities to recognize risk signs and preventive measures on the topic of preventing school violence and safety in cyberspace; to be jointly organized by the Center for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD), Trieu Thanh Commune People's Committee and Trieu Thanh Junior High School (Junior High School) on January 19, 2024. The event was organized within the scope of the project "Together We Can" – VM075 funded by Caritas Australia and DFAT in Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province through the Center for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD).
This is an event under Goal 1 of the project towards a safe living environment, to help participants identify the risks of school violence and safety on social networks, through which participants can share, advise and practice skills to identify potential risks and prevention methods that can be applied in practice to Protect your their safety while providing appropriate support to others to handle situations when needed.
26 teachers, social workers and 513 students from grade 6 to grade 9 participated in the activities, shared ideas, identified and dealt with some practical situations, such as causes, manifestations and effects from school violence, the benefits and harms of social networks and suggestions for safe social media participation principles.
At the end of the event, the school principal shared, "The topic of communication is very interesting, highly applicable and practical, the appropriate form of media organization, encouraging and creating excitement for all students to participate well. Students in the school understand the difficulties of their peers with disabilities and support them in learning, in playing at school and in participating in joint activities, especially in risk recognition and prevention of school violence. Hopefully, in the future, the project will have more activities and the school will definitely coordinate with the project."
