The final draft of the VPA / FLEGT Impact Indicator Set on timber planting and processing households written by SRD officers and other consultants finished and recieved comments from a number of VNGO-FLEGT Network members. On 17-18 April, the drafting team had a discussion with some experts from FAO and GIZ to update on this indicator set and discuss futher on the monitoring aspects of households' net income, the ease of implementation of business activities and the timber market demand.
Based on the further comments and the indicator principles (high reliability, information availability, low collection costs), the drafting team will complete the set of monitoring indicators for the baseline survey in localities of the VNGO-FLEGT network.
Coincidentally, on April 17, SRD had the opportunity to welcome Mr. Marc Laroche, Director of the International Action and Advocacy, Caritas France (Secours Catholique, Caritas France). Marc was the Country Director of CIDSE Vietnam from 2000-2002 and after a long time, he could finally meet and reminisce with his old friends about the journey that they had in CIDSE Vietnam.
